If you are planning a trip to Antigua, then you might have already guess that the list of things to do in Antigua is pretty much a list of things that you would do on any Caribbean island. Some people just come to a resort on the island and do everything there. The resorts typically have pools, private beaches and the ability to schedule any activities outside the resort that might interest you. And if you’re anything like my mother, then all you want to do is relax on the beach and listen to the sound of those waves hitting the shore all day long. Or maybe even lounge by the pool drinking rum punch till the sun sets for the evening.
And if those things do not appeal to you, then know that there are some other great activities waiting for you in Antigua.
Scuba diving and snorkeling are probably the most popular activities in Antigua. And if you are not scuba certified, then you can take care of that while you are in Antigua! The eastern side has the best snorkeling water, otherwise you’ll want a boat to take you out for some great snorkeling opportunities. You will end up seeing a lot of great fish and a reef, if that sort of thing interests you.
Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of fun water activities in Antigua.
Are you interested in doing a bit of surfing or boogie boarding? The waters here are great for that sort of thing and there is no shortage of places ready to rent gear out to you so that you can do your thing out in the water. You can even do things like parasailing, if you are a bit more on the adventurous side!
